      <p style=”text-align: left;”>I have a 63 falcon future with the 260 v8 and auto trans the car has 5 lug as well I’m having problems at the local parts store to find most engine parts have to go to sprint model and others the base model is this common?</p>

        I think it has to do with  the bulk of the application of the part. If it was a special 260 part then it would be listed under the 260 parts. If used in other applications as well then the base model is leading.

        Other cause could be an early year model. My 64 was built in sept 63, is a manual inline six, no ps, but the idler arm bushing turned out to be a 63 with ps….

        So maybe there are older parts on your car from earlier versions.

          The Sprint designation automatically filters out the 6 cylinder models. All 260 parts should be the same. The only difference would be engine labeling and perhaps color of valve covers and air cleaner.
